Affirmations:

Affirmations: (Mantra)

Positive change needs a positive attitude. Outside of the words I gave you, consider adding an additional sentence that will tell you what you need to hear, and write it in your journal. Examples are: I am worthy, I am healthy, and I am safe, or maybe: I am happy, I am strong, and I got this! Think of what YOU need to hear yourself say. Repeat this many times during the day, and with a smile. Get creative!

**Helpful tips:
-
During any meditation, if you have any trouble focusing, you can always focus on your mantra, to help you alleviate the additional thoughts. Other ideas: I am loved. I am confident. I am courageous. I am beautiful. (Note: stay away from any negative wording in the mantra...as in "I have no fear". This uses both words "no" and "fear". We are trying to steer clear of negativity, including, negative words, so keep every word positive!)
-
Be sure to use the phrase: "I am safe!" daily. Remember that feeling safe is very important during this time. Anxiety is based on fear, and fears are based on not feeling safe. This phrase was VERY helpful for me, when I would start to feel anxiety building. Saying the words over and over, while breathing can really help diminish the fear that wants to overwhelm during times of anxiety, and even panic.
-When you are feeling anxious or panicky, repeat the phrase "I am safe", over and over while bringing the legs into the chest. This rounds out the back, and can create a feeling of comfort for the body. (Like giving yourself a hug.) Be sure to breathe, while focusing and
believing the words.
-Other helpful phrases: "Let it go...your past is over!", "You are safe and free from your past!", "Today is a new beginning!"
