2.3 (E) Creating and Releasing Positive Energy
Creating and Releasing Positive Energy:
We know now that negative emotional tension can be created from negative physical and emotional situations, thoughts, and just not feeling safe. Did you ever think that you could use physical tension to create positive energy in the body, that can help you get through challenging times?
When you work your muscles, you are creating physical tension in those muscles, and tension creates energy in those areas, which flows throughout the body. We can use this energy that we create to “push” positivity around the body.
Make a fist with your hand, as hard as you can, and hold for 30 sec. Notice what you feel as you clench the fingers into the palm. Try to describe it. Maybe you notice a warmth? Maybe you notice that the longer you hold the clenched fist, the more you may start to feel the energy flow into the forearm? Feel the energy you are producing when you create tension. So what if we created energy that could be used to create more positivity? How can we do this?
We can create positivity within ourselves by simply combining the positive energy (that we create) with positive self talk. This combination of positivity places our mind and body in the perfect place to focus on building up our inner strength, confidence, courage, happiness and joy!
Strength builds confidence. Strength and confidence builds courage. Strength, confidence and courage creates happiness. Its very hard to feel depressed or stressed, when you feel strong, confident, courageous, and happy. When we are happy we let go of the little things…we figure out what is truly important in our lives, and tension subsides. When we are happy, we feel safe. And when we feel safe, the body will let go of tension, as well as anxiety, depression, and any other negative aspect of our lives.
Challenges will always come, this you can be certain of, and when they do, we may lose that strength, confidence, courage and happiness in ourselves for a bit. But, when we train our brain to more easily recognize what strength, confidence, courage, and happiness feel like, we can refer to them a lot easier. So in times of challenge, we can find ways to tap inside and more easily convert those negative feelings into positivity. You will find you can reverse the negative feelings from each challenge quicker, and bounce back into life easier.
What I want for you to do, is to work towards making the exercises in this program a part of your life. By giving yourself the time to check in with your body, relax, re-set, and work on ways to increase the positivity in your life, you are allowing your body to learn how to cope with any challenges that come your way. You will also naturally learn how to let go of past challenges, as your mind will be more geared towards the “good” in life, rather than the “bad”. Eventually, there will be less reason for your mind to try to keep you safe, because it will realize that you ARE safe.
It is important to understand this as these are basic principals as humans.
Allow yourself to understand and recognize which of the exercises come more easy for you, in comparison to what was more difficult. The more difficult the practice, the more you may need to work on.
