2.3 (I) Building Joy
Building Joy:
We all want to have joy in our lives; that inner gut feeling that everything is well, and that life is good! But this is the ultimate goal, and not the first one we should be looking at. In order to find and create joy within ourselves, we need to have a few other emotions in our pocket first. The next section will concentrate on ways we can bring more joy into our lives. But first, we will need to practice finding strength, confidence, courage, and happiness.
Please note the difference between happiness and joy. Happiness is more external, and based on circumstances that emerge day to day. Joy is more deep, internal, long lasting, and focused on our emotional well being. Joy goes much deeper than happiness. Where happiness is an emotion for the self, and is more external, joy is an attitude of the heart and soul, and is completely internal.
After completing the next section and exercises, you will understand how joy can more easily make it’s way into your life, naturally.
