2.2 (H)   Guided Meditation Exercises

Guided Meditation: 2 minutes...
Yoga Nidra:
Yoga Nidra means yogic sleep. This is a guided meditation that guides a spot you focus on, around the body. This is a practice of focus and relaxation. This video is about 10.5 minutes long...
Beehive Meditation:
The Beehive Meditation is a meditation that I created, to help with focus as well as relaxation. You will create a picture in your mind of a beehive, and notice not only the image, but what you hear. I will then ask for you to slowly allow each bee to leave the hive and as they do, take note of how less "busy" the hive is.
Once the hive is empty, you can enjoy the peacefulness as well as the beauty of the image before you... This meditation is about 7 minutes long...
-Beehive Meditation:
Find a quiet, undistracted place.

Close your eyes, and start to notice your breath. Start to inhale to a count of about 4, then exhale to a count of about 7 or 8. Relax you body, and relax your mind. Picture in your mind a large grassy field with one tree standing alone. As you walk closer to the tree, you notice a large beehive hanging from a branch. As you move even closer, you start to notice about 15-20 bees flying around the hive. Take a moment here to notice the sound they make, what they look like, and how they fly around the hive.
Then SLOWLY watch as ONE bee circles the hive then flies away…
Then slowly, one by one, watch each bee circle the hive, then fly away as well.
Notice as each bee leaves, how much quieter it seems to be around the hive.
Repeat this until every last bee flies away.
Take your time focusing on each bee. The longer this takes, the more you can relax into the experience.

Once every bee is gone, notice the hive. Notice how quiet and peaceful it is. Maybe you start to notice the surroundings of the immediate area, like the tree, or even the grass. Maybe you can even notice the smell of the grass. Maybe you notice the beautiful landscape surrounding. Maybe you notice birds singing in the tree. Maybe you hear crickets in the field. Allow whatever peaceful visions come up for you in this experience. You can even bring a smile to your face, to enhance the positivity of the experience. Let the experience occur for as long as you can remain focused.

When you are ready, SLOWLY start to wiggle your fingers and toes. Maybe you start to move your head gently from side to side, as you gently float open your eyes, and deepen your breath…
Notice how relaxed you feel.

Yoga Nidra: (30 min guided)This is a longer, more intricate Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep), as it is a 30 minute guided meditation. This is perfect to listen to at the end of the day, or anytime you have the time to relax your body and mind.
Guided Beach Meditation:

This guided beach meditation is about 9 minutes long, and allows for you to listen to the sounds of waves, while you envision time on the beach, to help you soothe your soul...
